Healthy Homes
With just a few simple changes, most homes in Frome can be adapted into cooler spaces in summer, warmer havens in winter, and drier throughout the year – helping households to save money, cut carbon, improve health, and feel more comfortable every day.
Healthy Homes offers free advice, practical support and guidance to help you access grants or low-interest loans to reduce bills, tackle damp and futureproof your home. Whether it’s small changes like draught-proofing or bigger upgrades like insulation and solar panels, we’re here to help you create a home that’s better for your wellbeing, your wallet and the planet.
Cycle Together
Cycle Together is here to help our community cycle more and drive less, cutting your carbon footprint, saving money, and boosting your health along the way.
The goal is simple: to inspire people of all ages and abilities to cycle. We offer Frome locals a range of free services and training, giving you the skills, confidence, and knowledge to cycle safely—whether on the road or off. Plus, we’re opening up opportunities for you to create your own cycling community and explore the stunning local area, all while leaving no carbon trace and getting a great workout.
Plastic Free. Period.
Did you know that plastic period products are a major contributor to microplastics in our rivers? A single pack of regular disposable pads contains as much plastic as five carrier bags! In the UK, up to 2 billion period products are flushed annually, polluting waterways.
The Plastic Free. Period. team promote reusable and low-impact options like period pants, washable pads, menstrual cups, and organic disposables that will help save money as well as reducing waste and protecting the environment. There options are not only very low plastic but they also reduce exposure to harmful chemicals often found in plastic and scented products, which is especially important in such an absorbent part of the body. Better for the planet, gentler on your body, and in the long run, they are cheaper.

Future Shed
Future Shed, part of Edventure, helps launch and grow green and healthy projects and enterprises by building networks, connecting like-minded individuals, and offering free training, coaching, and resources to turn ideas into action.
By supporting these initiatives, we’re creating opportunities for more people to join free, inclusive community-led groups that foster friendships and support a sustainable, affordable and healthy way of living.

The Green and Healthy Frome Programme is funded through the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund. The project is a collaboration between Frome Town Council and lead partner Edventure, and Frome Medical Practice.
