Are you passionate about making people’s lives healthier and happier and experienced in achieving results through negotiation and diplomacy? Do you have the skills to deliver the best communal areas and open spaces, some of which are owned by Frome Town Council. Do you share our vision for a town that our community is proud of and feels a strong sense of ownership and belonging?
We need a Manager to lead our Ranger Team and also to work across the town with other local authorities, contractors, community groups and residents to deliver the best possible environment to live in.
We know we are asking for a lot. That’s because we are ambitious and have a track record of success.

Refugee Hub Co-ordinator and Refugee Hub Social Facilitator
Frome Town Council is working alongside CHARIS and Somerset County Council to create a Welcome Hub for refugees in Frome.
The Co-ordinator will have responsibility for managing all activities and services for the Hub.
The Social Facilitator will set up and host a social space for refugee guests and host families in the Frome Area. The facilitator will be able to speak Ukrainian or Russian.
The Welcome Hub will assist and empower refugees and other visitors to become independent and integrate into the local and wider communities, by providing them with access to statutory and community services.
Both roles will be 18.5 hours per week and based at the Town Hall in Frome.

Volunteer as a Discover Frome Ambassador
Are you looking or a new fun role where you can chat about our fantastic town and support one of the town’s historic buildings? Volunteers are needed to help support Frome’s popular information point.
The friendly volunteer team provide information about events and activities taking place in the town as well as details about walking, cycling and exploring the area for residents and visitors alike. Anyone with time to spare, looking for a new opportunity or to gain skills and experience can volunteer their time on the days that suit them. The role includes opening and closing the Information Point as well as handling money and communicating directly with the public.
