Frome Town Council and Frome Selwood Tennis Club have joined together to bring free tennis to Frome this August.
Anyone of any age is welcome to drop by the community courts on Saturday afternoons, where coaches from Frome Selwood Tennis Club, funded by Frome Town Council, will be available to offer advice. Or you can simply enjoy the opportunity to pick up a racquet and ball and have a knock about.
Councillor Gary Collinson said, “Tennis is a good activity for lots of people to get involved with, so we’re really pleased to support these free sessions for local residents. We hope that it will mean even more people can come and give tennis a go.”
The sessions will take place on 11th, 18th, 25th August and 1st September at the community courts on the Mary Baily Playing Field and equipment will be provided. They will run from 2.30 – 4pm with coaches available 2.30 – 3.30pm.
Further free tennis sessions are planned for September, so keep eye an out on for more information nearer the time.
