Temporary road & footpath closures February 2021

The following road and footpath closures are due to take place during February 2021.

Pilly vale Railway Bridge – Footpath 20/19

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary closure of footpath notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along footpath FR 20/19 from the eastern end of Willow Vale and running in a generally easterly direction for 165 metres under the railway bridge and on to its junction with footpath FR 20/20 as shown on the map.

This closure is due to the likelihood of danger to the public while Pilly Vale railway bridge repair works are taking place.

The order becomes effective on the 1st February and will remain in force for six months although the works are only likely to take 7 weeks.

Footpath 14/5 & 14/6

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary closure of footpath notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along footpath FR 14/5 and FR 14/6 from a point 30 metres north west of the A361 in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 50 metres as shown on the map.

This closure is due to the likelihood of danger to the public while railway track works are taking place.

The closure will take effect from the 23rd January and will remain in force for 21 days.

Budge Lane – Footpath 14/29

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary closure of footpath notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along footpath FR 14/29 from Budge Lane in a generally northerly direction for 50 metres as shown on the map.

This closure is due to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst railway track works are taking place.

The closure will take effect from 23rd January and will remain in force for 21 days.

Bull Quarries Road

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Bull Quarries Road for a total distance of approximately 125 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable Bristol Water to replace a stop tap.

The order becomes effective on the 28th January with works expected to start on the 1st February 2021 until 2nd February 2021 between the hours of 00.00-23.59 for a total of 2 days.

Rossiters Hill and Rossiters Road

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Rossiters Hill and Rossiters Road for a total distance of approximately 568 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out footways work.

The order becomes effective on the 21st January with works expected to start on the 25th January 2021 until 5th February 2021 between the hours of 00.00-23.59 for a total of 12 days.

Keyford

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Keyford  for a total distance of approximately 74 metres as shown on the map.

The order becomes effective on the 28th January with works expected to start on the 1st February 2021 until 2nd February 2021 between the hours of 00.00-23.59 for a total of 2 days.

Wallbridge

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Wallbridge for a total distance of approximately 20 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable Centurion Traffic Management to carry out a bridge examination on behalf of Network Rail.

The order becomes effective on the 28th January with works expected to start on the 2nd February 2021 until 3rd February 2021 between the hours of 22.00-06.00 for a total of 1 night.

Jacks Lane

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Jacks Lane for a total distance of approximately 570 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable Barden Network to install fibre cable on behalf of BT Openreach.

The order becomes effective on the 18th February with works expected to start on the 23rd February 2021 until 25th February 2021 between the hours of 09.30-15.30 for a total of 3 days.
