Volunteer roles in Frome this Spring and Summer

Members of Frome Wild Bunch

Frome Town Council is seeking a volunteer to help raise the profile and support the work of three local community organisations, with the support of its Marketing and Communications team. The organisations are:

  • Frome Walking Festival – an annual celebration of walking, nature and community connection, Runs annually in August
  • Frome Wild Bunch – a group of climate-friendly gardening experts who host regular drop-in sessions including talks, screenings and workshops, write a column in the Frome Times and host a Facebook group/
  • Let’s Talk – a group who facilitate workshops designed to help people communicate effectively and with compassion, even when the conversation is on a difficult theme.

Cllr Lyndsey Mayhew said “These are three brilliant, established voluntary groups who are great at what they do – this role will help make sure everyone knows about it! They’ll provide plenty of material and inspiration as you hone your comms skills, supported by the friendly team at FTC. It’s a great way to build your CV, or could be good if you want to change direction in your work. If comms isn’t your thing, there are loads of other volunteering opportunities on the Spark a Change website – have a look and find something that’s right for you.”
