Each year the town comes alive with music with the annual celebration of Frome Busks.
This year, in partnership with Frome College and Selwood Academy, the event will take place on Saturday 13 June. Musicians from the college will be bringing live music into the town centre, playing mini sets across key locations including Boyle Cross, Cheap Street, King Street, Black Swan Arts and Cheese & Grain, and right up to the Valentine Lamp at the top of Catherine Hill.
There will be a mix of original and well-known songs, with musicians including singers, guitarists, pianists, drummers and even strings. A-Level Music Tech students will also gain technical experience by setting up the event.
Donations are welcome all day: any funds raised will go towards extracurricular music performances, equipment and productions for Frome College students.

The Shrink
A group from a mix of years who enjoy spending their spare time in the music department. Their dynamic performance promises to be one not to miss!
Sam
Music Technology Student – Sam is an excellent pianist and will be performing a solo set of Blue and jazz.
Paris Blue
A mixture of students from year 13 – Paris Blue are a contemporary azz ensemble performing a range of covers and originals with elements of improvisation and solos. Flute, Drums, Bass, Keys and Guitar.
Fluffy and the Jars
A post punk band from year 11! They’ll be blowing away the stress of exams and bring a high energy set to the streets of Frome.
Christian
Rock/ metal guitarist, Christian will be bringing a high energy set with soaring solos to wake up Frome on a Saturday morning!

Year 12 A Level Music Technology student will be singing and playing guitar performing a range of pop/rock covers
Dora
Year 11 singer/ songwriter, who recently starred in our musical in Feb! Dora is a brilliant singer and will be performing a range of pop/ theatre covers.
Miri
Singer/ songwriter currently studying both Music and Music Tech, Miri will perform a range of acoustic covers
Joe
Singer songwriter from Westbury performing a number of his own compositions in an indie style.
Annie
A talented year 9 singer performing a range of pop tunes accompanied by her dad on guitar.
Alexa
Year 13 Singer songwriterSinging a range of pop covers whilst demonstrating her skill on guitar.
Lula
Year 10 and returning for her second year at busks! Lula is an incredible hang drum percussionist!
