Get your kids pedalling for free at the Children’s festival

Cycling kids LifecyclePop down to the Cheese and Grain car park on Sunday 27th July between 12 and 4pm and you can get your bike checked and learn some basic road safety skills. Organised by Sustainable Frome with funding from Aster Communities these free bicycle sessions are part of Frome’s first Children’s festival and are open to children of all ages.

In the safety of our roped-off area, children will be shown how to manage road junctions, safe road positioning and how to stay in control of their bikes. Training is being provided by a qualified instructor from LifeCycle UK. Local bike experts from Frome’s Bike Academy will also be sharing their skills and providing a ‘Doctor Bike service’, checking bikes for safety and doing minor repairs where needed. Please bring your own bikes and helmets.

Sustainable Frome and Frome Town Council are also organising a programme of adult and family cycle training sessions which will be launched at the One Planet Fair at the Cheese and Grain on the 14th September. Contact: francisa@frometowncouncil.gov.uk for more information.
