Frome Town Council adopted the River Corridor Strategy in 2013. This strategy was prepared and written by a local group; the Friends of the River Frome.
This report was commissioned by Frome Town Council to provide a strategic vision for improvements along the river corridor.
Working with a variety of organisations and local groups, we’ve started to implement the River Corridor project in a number of places. We have plans in to improve views of the river in Rodden Meadow this winter; and we recently completed the footpath linking Henley Way with Welshmill Lane (now appropriately named The Otherside!)
So watch this space for updates on projects and events along our river.
Frome Town Council has received an update from the Environment Agency following the reports of dead fish on the River Frome (12/05/2016). Find out more details about this here: https://www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/environment-agency-update-on-river-frome-pollution/
