Temporary road & footpath closures January 2021

The following road closures are due to take place during January 2021.

Rodden Road

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Rodden Road for a distance of approximately 148 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable R & W Rail to carry out bridge repairs and improvements on behalf of Network Rail.

The ongoing works are expected to continue until 31st January 2021 between the hours of 00.00-23.59.

Elm Lane to Hapsford Hill

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Elm Lane To Hapsford Hill for a distance of approximately 283 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable BT Openreach to carry out pole testing works.

The order becomes effective on the 14th January with works expected to start and finish on the 18th January 2021 between the hours of 09.30-15.30 for a total of 6 hours.

Footpath 14/5 & 14/6

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary closure of footpath notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along footpath FR 14/5 and FR 14/6 from a point 30 metres north west of the A361 in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 50 metres as shown on the map.

This closure is due to the likelihood of danger to the public while railway track works are taking place.

The closure will take effect from the 23rd January and will remain in force for 21 days.

Budge Lane – Footpath 14/29

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary closure of footpath notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along footpath FR 14/29 from Budge Lane in a generally northerly direction for 50 metres as shown on the map.

This closure is due to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst railway track works are taking place.

The closure will take effect from 23rd January and will remain in force for 21 days.

Rossiters Hill and Rossiters Road

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Rossiters Hill and Rossiters Road for a total distance of approximately 568 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out footways work.

The order becomes effective on the 21st January with works expected to start on the 25th January 2021 until 5th February 2021 between the hours of 00.00-23.59 for a total of 12 days.

Keyford

Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Keyford  for a total distance of approximately 74 metres as shown on the map.

This order will enable Bristol Water to replace a cover and frame.

The order becomes effective on the 28th January with works expected to start on the 1st February 2021 until 2nd February 2021 between the hours of 00.00-23.59 for a total of 2 days.
