Temporary road closures June 2023

The following road and footpath closures are due to take place in and around Frome during June 2023.

Town Centre

Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting traffic from travelling within the town centre – North Parade, Market Place, Scott Road, King Street, Stony Street, Catherine Hill, Palmer Street and Bath Street between 06.00-18.00 on Sunday 4th June 2023 as shown on the map:

This order will enable The Frome Independent Market to take place.

Keyford Lane

Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Keyford Lane, from the junction with Sandys Hill Lane, southwards for a total distance of 55 metres.

This order will enable Renelec to carry out storm drain installation works.

The order became effective on the 5th January 2023 with works now expected to start on the 19th June 2023 until 19th June 2023 between the hours of 00.00 – 23.59 for a total of 1 day.

Ongoing Closures

Rodden Road

Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Rodden Road, from the junction with New Road to the junction with Styles Hill for a total distance of 239 metres.

This order will enable Milestone Infrastructure to carry out footway maintenance.

The order became effective on the 11th May 2023 with works expected to start on the 15th May 2023 and now expect to continue until 2nd June 2023 between the hours of 00.00 – 23.59.
