How can FTC support micro-enterprises in the town & boost young people into the world of work

Frome Town Council’s meetings actively encourage local people to contribute and share their views. We all have opinions and all of them are valid. There is always a slot on the agenda for anyone to make points about anything, and there is always an opportunity to contribute to the debate on each item on the agenda throughout the meeting. Local people and Councillor’s sit together; so there is also the opportunity to talk to your Councillor about issues in your area of the town.

The next Town Matters Committee is on Wednesday 30 November 2016, 7pm upstairs at Frome Medical Practice, Enos Way, Frome BA11 2FH.

Kicking off the meeting is Bob Ashford from Fair Frome and Neil Cameron from the Allotment Association, who will give short presentations about their work.

On the agenda is an overview of the Economic Development and Regeneration work programme for 2017/18. Cllrs will discuss how FTC can help with the development of micro-enterprises in the town and how the town can boost young people into the world of work and self-employment – see the report here. Chris Stringer will give an update on FTC’s work on increasing the number of trees in the town and on the use of Glyphosate. Click here to read the full report.
