Cllr Fiona Barrows, Leader of Frome Town Council said of the news of the death of David Warburton:
“We are saddened to hear of the death of David Warburton, who served as the Member of Parliament for Somerton and Frome from 2015 to 2022.
“Public service is never easy. Representing a community and putting your head above the parapet takes courage and commitment. During his years in office, David worked hard to raise issues that mattered locally — from rural broadband and transport to supporting pubs and cider and cheese makers. He’ll be remembered here in Frome for helping us secure the Town Hall as a lasting civic home.
“On behalf of the town, we extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.”
