
Grass Roots Planning, the applicant for the proposed Selwood Garden Community has updated the Environmental Statement (ES) that accompanies the application. There is an opportunity to share thoughts and comments with the Planning Inspectorate: all submissions must be received by Friday 4th July.
The main change to the Environmental Statement is a new chapter that assesses the development’s potential impact on climate change and a review of the baseline data that underpins the statement’s technical chapters.

If you wish to view the documents online, this can be accessed via Somerset Council’s website on Public Access. Please use the reference number 2021/1675/EOUT to find the application.
Comments should be submitted online to the Planning Inspectorate (rather than the Local Authority) by 4th July 2025. You can also send your comments (quoting the appeal reference number – APP/E3335/V/25/3360037) to: The Planning Inspectorate Major Casework Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol BS1 6PN.
The Planning Inspectorate will not acknowledge representations. They will, however, ensure that letters received by the deadline are passed on to the Inspector dealing with the appeal.
