Save the date for the Bike Jumble

The annual Bike Jumble, organised by Frome’s Missing Links in partnership with Frome Town Council, will be held on Sunday 27th June, from 10am – 2pm, outside Frome Library.

Now in its 4th year, the jumble is a great way to pick up a low-cost bike or to find spare parts, accessories and even cycle clothing at a fraction of the cost of buying them new.

Frome’s Missing Links is now looking for donations of bikes, bike parts and components, bags, bells, clothing, cycle shoes and any other cycling related items you no longer need. All proceeds from the sale will go to Frome’s Missing Links, which is working to get a family-friendly multi-user path built that will connect the town centre with the Colliers Way route to Radstock and beyond.

If you have something you’d like to donate we are holding donations sessions in the Town Hall car park on Park Road on:

  • Saturday 5th June, 10am – 12pm
  • Thursday 10th June, 7 – 8pm
  • Saturday 12th June, 10am – 12pm
  • Thursday 17th June, 7 – 8pm

Alongside the Bike Jumble, there will be a ‘Pay-it-Forward’ bike maintenance session, organised by Ding Frome. People are welcome to bring their current bicycles along for a check-up or to ask for advice. Further details will be available at www.dingfrome.co.uk.

The Bike Jumble, which has been running since 2018, has helped more than 150 people to get new wheels and get moving. Chair of Frome’s Missing Links, Richard Ackroyd said: “We’re hoping to find new homes for many more bikes, and give people a way to stay active, it’s great to see people pedaling away with a bargain and a smile on their face.”
