Local Government Act 1972 – Section 123(2A)
NOTICE OF PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE LAND
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Frome Town Council intends to dispose of an area of open space land and associated buildings located at Badgers Hill Football Stadium, Frome, Somerset, BA11 2EH.
The land, currently used as a football stadium and clubhouse, contains an area of land (the pitch) designated as open space and the proposed disposal involves the granting of a lease of the whole site to a third party, with an option to purchase.
In accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council is required to give notice of its intention to dispose of public open space and to consider any representations made in respect of the proposal.
A plan showing the area of land affected is available for inspection at:
Frome Town Hall, Christchurch Street West, Frome, BA11 1EB during normal office hours and can also be downloaded here.
Any objections or representations regarding the proposed disposal must be made in writing and sent to:
Town Clerk, Frome Town Council, Frome Town Hall, Christchurch Street West, Frome, BA11 1EB
or emailed to engage@frometowncouncil.gov.uk, to be received no later than Wednesday 3rd June 2025.
