Pop up play

Frome Town Council (FTC) know that Frome is a brilliant place to grow up; and an inspiring place to live and work. One that values play as an essential part of daily life for everyone in the town.

Based on this vision, FTC has adopted an ambitious Play Strategy and are now seeking expressions of interest from local Play Providers to pilot a series of pop-up play sessions across the town. These regular sessions will run from March 2022 and be inclusive of town events to include National Play Day and activities as part of Big Green Week in September.

The start-up funding would be the pilot for creating a sustainable project: the aim being that the awarded play organisation would offer the town free, regular and open access play opportunities for Frome residents, but with an emphasis on 8–12-year-olds.

There’s a budget of up to £8000, and further details can be found on our contracts and tenders page. Expressions of interest and costed proposals should be sent to Nikki Cox, ncox@frometowncouncil.gov.uk by Friday 25th February to be presented at an interview panel on Wednesday 9th March. For an informal conversation please contact Nikki Cox, Children and Young people’s Project Officer on 01373 465757.
