Following the recent closure in June of the Westway Post Office in the centre of town, the Post Office have announced that they are to reinstate a temporary Post Office service for the local community, whilst they continue to seek a permanent solution.

Mayor of Frome, Andy Wrintmore said: ‘I’m delighted to hear that the post office is being reinstated.  It’s such an important facility for the whole community and I, along with all at Frome Town Council, would like to thank the owners of Westway, Maybrook Properties for their co-operation in enabling this to happen.’

Antoinette Chitty, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to be restoring a temporary service in Frome whilst we continue to seek a permanent solution.”
