Hands holding film slate or movie clapper board on plant-green nature.Climate change concept.

Excitement mounts for the first Frome Climate Film Festival otherwise known as ‘The Climates’. Free tickets are available for the film screenings, the awards ceremony and the free workshops being run throughout the day. The festival will bring together an exciting mix of film and environmental content to enable shared learning and to provide inspiration to those attending the festival.

James Godman, Creator and Director said: “We have over ten workshops on either making / creating films or on the environment being run during the day on the 7th May and a wonderfully diverse film programme of over 16 films at last count.

The films, many of which will be world premieres, range from short features of 15 minutes, to under 2 minutes and include music and poems set to film, an engaging and thought provoking  mix.

The community support has been fantastic, the festivals aims and objectives have really resonated with people as we provide a free festival to share, support and to inspire change. Special  thanks to Frome Town Council.

If you would like to help on the day then please drop me a line, I would love to hear from you.” You can call James on 07760558106.

Environmental Workshops

Dare to be, From harm to harmony | 13:00 – 14:20

After making a film helping Polly Higgins get “Ecocide” recognised in law, Kelly Roberts had a realisation – that we can’t change the laws if we don’t change the way we think first. Young people, our future leaders, are currently dealing with an increased mental health crisis. What can we do to change the conversation and ensure young people get the support they deserve?
