In August 2022 Frome Town Council (FTC) and Frome Town Football Club (FTFC) signed a deal to help secure the football ground as a community asset. The deal, worth just over £300k, paid off a third-party lender. In return, FTC will have the option to buy the ground for £1 at any point over the next twelve months.
On 3rd October FTC and FTFC, with support of the Football Supporters Association (FSA), hosted an event at The Clubhouse at the ground on Badgers Hill to lay out the current situation with the club and ask the people of Frome to help protect football in our town for future generations. Over 120 people attended the event and there was overwhelming support for the club to move towards community ownership. A full public report will follow.
We would like to hear from you if you’d like to be part of the journey, either as part of a steering group, as a volunteer or you would just like to be kept informed with plans for the club.
