Supporting local people to provide local support

Are you interested in helping older people in Mendip? Would you like to make a difference, work for yourself, working hours that suit you?

The Community Micro-enterprise project can help. Delivered in partnership by Somerset County Council and Community Catalysts, the project offers free support, advice and information to people who have an idea for a small local service (called a micro-enterprise) that supports or cares for people in their community.

In the last year they have supported over 100 people to set up independently and offer flexible, quality services to their community.
