Frome Matters – 23rd May

It was a big night at the Annual Council meeting, with Frome town councillors voting in favour of a new leadership structure to help make sure that anyone – regardless of income or background – can consider standing to be a councillor or Chair of the Council. Find out more below.

I have great news for those with draws piled high with dusty tech – the always popular tech amnesty is back at Frome Town Hall during Great Big Green Week, along with over nine days of events, activities, walks and talks. We hope to see you at one or two, or many!

It has been wonderful to welcome visitors from the School Council Voice Project to view a special exhibition of what matters to them. Hearing from so many young people and discovering how many aspirations they have in common has been really informative and we hope everyone enjoyed taking part.

Frome’s Safer School Street scheme enables more children to walk, wheel and cycle to school and as the trial comes to end later this year, it is really important that we find out what you think about it. If you haven’t already please take the time to complete the survey below.
