Felling of diseased Norway Maple in Victoria Park

The Norway Maple is affected by a serous fungal infection

Very sadly, a Norway Maple, situated near the rangers’ yard in Victoria Park, has been found to be unsafe due to a serious fungal infection (Kretzschmaria deusta). It has been inspected by a qualified arboricultural consultant who has carried out a thorough assessment.

Unfortunately, due to the extent of the infection, there are no other management options available, and the tree will need to be removed in the near future for safety reasons.
