Frome Pride – final event information

It’s almost time to Celebrate Frome Pride 2026!

Parade

The parade starts at 12pm from the top of Bath Street and makes its way down into the Market Place. If you’re joining the parade, gather at Rook Lane from 11.30am. It’s completely free to join in the fun, but please RSVP for the parade to give the organisers an idea of numbers.

Everyone is welcome – if you don’t want to parade, you can still be part of the day by coming into town, cheering the parade on, getting your face painted and enjoying the Market Stage outside the library, the end point for the parade. Join the biggest gathering of LGBTQIA+ community groups, schools, organisations, businesses, friends and allies ever seen in the town’s history!

The day doesn’t end there – join the Pride finale party at Silk Mill from 7.30pm

Travel and parking

Roads through the town centre close from 11am to allow time to install barriers and bunting to line the parade. The road will reopen as soon as the parade has moved on to the market and the road is clear; the official road closure runs until 3pm but we hope to be clear by 2pm.

Please arrive on foot if you can. If you’re driving to Frome for the event, please follow the diversion via Rodden Road. After Rodden Road you will be guided onto the A362 southbound, until you re‑join your destination beyond the town centre. From the south, traffic should proceed along Wallbridge and Portway.

The following roads are closed between 11am and 3pm:

Catherine Hill, Stony Street, King Street, Palmer Street, Church Street, Market Place, Bath Street, Church Steps, Eagle Lane, Cork Street and Waterloo.

View the Frome Pride road closure here.

Buses

From Bath to Frome:

D2: The bus will divert along Rodden Road at the Vine Tree pub and proceed via New Road and Wallbridge. It will then rejoin its usual route along Christchurch Street West.

D2X: The bus will not turn right onto Fromefield, but continue onto Rodden Rd as above, before turning left onto Butts Hill and rejoining its usual route

Buses towards Bath will operate the same diversion in reverse.

No bus services serve the Market Place between 11am and 3pm on 27 June.

Full D2/D2X information is on the First Bus website.

Taxis

Cork Street taxi rank is closed between 11am and 3pm. A temporary taxi rank is next to Marks & Spencer, across the road from Merchants Barton car park.

Parking

All Frome car parks remain open for Frome Pride, except for Cork Street which will be closed for the duration of the event. No access in or out of Cork Street car park is possible during the parade.

Disabled parking and access

Merchants Barton car park is the best location for disabled parking. There is step-free access from Merchants Barton to a viewing area outside the Kutchenhaus shop, where King Street joins the Market Place.

Toilets

Toilets are available within the Cheese and Grain, as part of the You’re Welcome scheme. There is a Changing Places facility in the Market Yard toilet block, accessible with a radar key.
