Temporary road closure for filming in December

Somerset County Council have given notice that there will a temporary prohibition of vehicles and a footway closure along Gentle Street to facilitate a film production and in the interest of public safety.

The Order shall come into operation at 0600 hours on Monday 3rd December 2018 and will continue in force until 2359 hours on Friday 7th December 2018. The restrictions shall apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Exemptions are provided for the purpose of maintenance of the road and operations; maintenance of street furniture and infrastructure; supply of gas, water or electricity; agriculture on any land adjacent; the pursuance of statutory powers or duties; vehicles associated with the film production and fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.

From the junction with the A362 Christchurch Street East in a northerly direction for its entirety to the junction with Bath Street

STATEMENT OF REASONS FOR PROPOSING TO MAKE THE ORDER

For avoiding danger to persons, or other traffic using the road, or any other road, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
