Saxonvale Development

Frome Town Council are holding a public meeting to help local residents understand the detail of the proposed development at Saxonvale.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting which will be held at The Assembly Rooms on 13 June from 6:30 -8:30pm. It will talk people through the planning process and guide them on how to submit any comments to Mendip District Council.

Any feedback will also help to inform the Town Council’s formal response, which will be brought to Town Matters meeting on 19 June.

A presentation from the developers Acorn Property Group will cover:

  • The vision for the development
  • The amount and type of proposed housing and commercial land and how those figures were reached
  • The impact on traffic/transport, parking and access including routes for Pedestrians and cyclists
  • Sustainability
  • Open spaces and ecology

This will be followed by presentations from various stakeholders who will set out their objectives for the site and explain why they are important to the town. This panel will then take questions from the audience.

If you are not sure what the planning application for Saxonvale entails, come to the meeting and hear from the developers and other stakeholders. This will be your opportunity to ask questions and give your views on the application.

The planning application is with Mendip District Council and you can read the full application on Mendip District Council’s website via the following link https://tinyurl.com/saxonvale
