Healthy Homes team on the road in 2024

Frome’s Healthy Homes team took their show on the road on Monday 29th April, bringing free, impartial advice, tea and cake to anyone needing advice on making their home warm, dry, draught free and cheaper to run. Like the regular drop-in sessions at Frome Library, the roadshow is part of the lottery-funded Green and Healthy Frome project and is designed to bring the energy advice team’s support to a wider audience, particularly those unable to attend during the day.

Following a session at Frome Job Centre from 10am to 4pm, the team headed to Trinity Church Hall from 5pm to 7pm for the evening session. Dates and times for further roadshow events will be announced later in May.

Energy Advice Volunteer Coordinator Caroline Wajsblum (pictured) said: “We are delighted to be able to extend our offer to make the energy advice sessions even more accessible for residents. We hope that this is the first of a series which will aim at bringing advice to help people stay warm, and healthy, and reduce their energy bills.”

Green and Healthy Frome is a lottery-funded partnership between Edventure: Frome, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council, focused on the health of people and planet, and how they are closely connected.

The next Energy Advice drop-in is at Frome Library 5th June, from 10am to 4pm. Find out more about Healthy Homes team and the services available at https://bit.ly/ftc-healthy-homes.
