Expert advice in tackling tricky conversations

Over the past 12 months the topic of Restorative Conversations has gained traction within the Frome community, resulting in a new group, Let’s Talk. They, along with Frome Town Council, will be hosting a free online introduction to restorative conversations on Tuesday 5th April from 7 – 8:30pm. The session will equip attendees with simple tools to gain confidence approaching difficult issues and enable calm, productive conversations.

The workshop will be led by Charlotte Calkin, an engaging facilitator who has a host of experience using the techniques learnt in all sorts of situations – prisons, schools, towns. Charlotte has worked in the field of restorative practice and coaching for over a decade and delivered restorative workshops at the UN and a TEDSummit to name a couple.

Frome Town Council’s Community Officer Hannah Stopford will be attending the meeting and said: “Charlotte has facilitated hundreds of meetings, tackling the trickiest of conversations, so is the perfect host for this session. It’ll give attendees a concise overview, providing hints, tips and strategies that can be used across all areas of life, from family to neighbours and even work colleagues.”
