Emergency Road Closure – Bath Street.

UPDATE 17 NOVEMBER

Following a report on Friday 13 November from our colleagues at Somerset Building Control Partnership of an unsafe building on Bath Street, it was agreed the road would need to close temporarily while work was undertaken to secure the site.

The building is now deemed to be safe which means Somerset Highways are hoping to be able to partially reopen Bath Street early this evening (17th November 2020). However, further work is required on site so the northbound lane nearest the building will remain closed and temporary lights will be in place until this is complete.

Please see the lane closure plan here.

The road has been closed between Stoney Street and the junction of the A362 Christchurch Street West due to reports of potential stability issues to a building in proximity to 20 Bath Street.

This is expected to remain closed until Monday.  See https://one.network for details as they emerge.
