Discover Frome Information Point Proves Popular

It’s been an amazing first month for the Discover Frome Information Point at Black Swan Arts. The town centre location is proving to be an invaluable resource for visitors and residents.

It’s a great way to find out about all the shops, restaurants and galleries Frome has to offer. It’s a place to share and discover events, arts and activities, and a platform for community groups.

Anyone is welcome to pop in, grab one of our town guides (free throughout August), find a new cycling route or simply pick up a bus timetable.

Looking for a unique gift or something to remind you of your stay? We have plenty of books and a variety of souvenirs available, made by local artists.

Councillor Jean Boulton said- ‘Everyone seems delighted with the Information Point and we are so pleased with its location in the Black Swan. We hope it will continue to be successful and helpful for visitors and townspeople alike. Thanks to all the volunteers and let us know if you would like to volunteer too. It’s good fun!’

The Information point is staffed by volunteers. Volunteering is rewarding; allowing you to learn new skills, meet new people and engage with the community. It also makes a great addition to your CV. If you can offer any of your time let us know by contacting info@frometowncouncil.gov.uk.

The Information Point is open Tuesday – Sunday, 10am – 4pm. Come in and say hello, you’ll receive a warm welcome and might just discover something new about Frome.
