Design the Mayor’s Christmas card for 2019

Mayor's Christmas cardCalling all budding artists who are at school in Frome.

Each year the Mayor of Frome sends out a uniquely designed Christmas card to many different organisations and individuals who they have met over the year. 2019 is no different and the Mayor is asking for help from the children of Frome to come up with the most creative design around the theme ‘Positive and green future for Frome’. How do you see Frome in the future? What improvements could be in place or what would you like to see in the town to make Frome greener and more positive.

Ideas for designs include: walking, cycling, scooting, renewable energy – solar, wind, trees, wildlife, sharing, re-use, repair, recycling, local food – fruit and veg and / or anything else that comes to mind. Importantly don’t forget to put a Christmas twist on your design.

The competition is open to all school children in Frome up to the age of 12. There will be prizes for the top three entries with the winner joining the Mayor on the balcony of the George Hotel to switch on the town’s Christmas lights on 29 November.

Entries should be posted to or dropped off at:

Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition
Frome Town Hall
Christchurch Street West
Frome
BA11 1EB

Closing date for entries is Friday 22 November 2019

All designs will be proudly displayed in Frome Town Hall during December. All will be welcome to pop in to see if they can spot their design.

The Mayor and Frome Town Council staff are excited to see all the entries. Good luck!
