Christmas Light switch on 2018

Christmas lantern procession in Frome town centreKick off the festive season with Frome’s annual Christmas celebrations on 30th November 5pm- 7pm in the centre of town. The traditional Christmas Light switch on will feature stalls selling festive drinks and food, children’s games, fantastic music and carol singing. The evening will also feature the “Light the Night” lantern procession coming through Frome town centre, and of course the switch on from The George balcony.

What to expect…

17:00 – First taste of Christmas: Delicious Christmas treats
17:10 – Selwood Academy Children’s Choir
17:30 – Performance from Rock Choir
18:00 – Rare Species present Mojo Moves – a comedy Christmas workout to set you up for the festive season
18:15 – Lantern procession starts to the sound of the Frome Samba Band
18.30 – Community carol singing accompanied by Frome Town Band and Songbirds
18:45 – Christmas Lights switched on by Mayor Richard Ackroyd and special guest Rachel Clarke
18:50 – Finish with performance from Frome Samba Band
