Discover Frome, Frome Town Council’s one-stop-shop for all things local events, activities and attractions, has announced its summer holiday guide for 2026. This year’s school holidays bring clubs, coaching, fundays, festivals, theatre workshops and more to Frome.
Cllr Tracey Ashford said “The summer holiday is just around the corner, and we know that sometimes filling six weeks with fun, engaging things for children to do can be a challenge. Look no further than Discover Frome’s holiday guide, full of information on a range of clubs, camps, and events, including free or low-cost activities. Local charity Purple Elephant is bringing back its ever-popular Children’s Festival at the Cheese & Grain and Welshmill on Sunday 19 July, with free activities between 10am and 2pm. Although all Purple Elephant activities are free, booking is encouraged to help avoid queueing on the day. All links to what’s on are within the Discover Frome guide – it’s also best to keep an eye on the guide during the summer, as the guide is typically updated with fresh events throughout the holidays.”
Shared Earth Learning are running forest school sessions at Vallis Veg from 10am to 3:30pm on various dates in August (£45 per child), plus some sessions geared to children with special educational needs (SEN) which run from 10am to 2:30pm (£15 per child). Booking is essential.
There are also summer art sessions at Phoenix Project throughout the holidays, join a joyful family day at Vallis Farm’s Summer Fete on 18 July, celebrate National Playday at the Key Centre on 5 August, and details of many other holiday clubs, camps and activities in the Discover Frome holiday guide.
