Temporary road closures for September

Nunney Road
Mendip District Council, under the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 have issued a temporary road closure for Nunney Road (from Oakfield Road to Lynfield Road). There will be no vehicular access on 1st September 2019 from 11am to 10pm for the Nunney Street party.

Blatchbridge Roundabout
Somerset County Council (as the Highway Authority) have issued a temporary road closure, prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Blatchbridge Roundabout, Frome Bypass, Blatchbridge Roundabout to Vinney Lane and Blatchbridge Roundabout to Frome Road from Frome ByPass; junction with Blatchbridge Roundabout north-eastwards for 25m and south-westwards for 45m.

Blatchbridge Roundabout to Vinney Lane; junction with Blatchbridge Roundabout, northwards for 15m to Blatchbridge Roundabout to Frome Road; junction with Blatchbridge Roundabout, south-westwards for 45m for a distance of 315 metres.

This closure will be effective from 9th September 2019 and will be expected to last for 4 nights (6pm-7am), to enable Somerset Highways to carry our resurfacing works.

Blatchbridge roadabout temporary road closure

Eagle Lane
Somerset County Council intends to introduce a temporary prohibition of motor vehicles and no entry along Eagle Lane. The Order will be made to facilitate structural works and is in the interest of public safety. It becomes effective on the 12th September 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works will commence on the 22nd September 2019 for 64 days. The restriction will apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Selwood Road
Mendip District Council, under the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 have issued a temporary road closure for Selwood Road from the junction with Trinity Street up to the junction with baker Street. There will be no vehicular access on 22nd September 2019 from 12pm to 8pm for the Selwood Road Street party.

Access to properties adjacent to the road affected will be made available for occupants.
