Send in your events for Great Big Green Week 2024

Event submissions are now open for Great Big Green Week 2024, a national celebration of biodiversity, sustainability and caring for the planet, which runs between 8th and 16th June. Events can be for any age, free or ticketed, indoor or outdoor, and organised by any individual, group or organisation. The only criteria for being part of Frome’s Great Big Green Week are that the event has an environmental, biodiversity or climate-friendly theme, and takes place in and around Frome.

Frome has been part of Great Big Green Week since 2021 and the programme has featured a wide range of events including a river festival, planet-friendly family picnic, walks, talks, workshops, clothes swaps, bike rides and more.

Cllr Fiona Barrows said “Frome is full of people doing their bit to look after the planet and Great Big Green Week is a fantastic time to spread the word about it and bring people together to celebrate, inform and educate. The climate crisis can feel so huge and frightening that it’s hard to know what to do: this week is always so uplifting and focuses on the small things we can all do for a greener world. And those small things really do add up. Please get involved in June, either by hosting an event or coming along to one and make this the best Great Big Green week yet.”

To submit an event for Great Big Green Week 2024, fill in the form at https://bit.ly/great-big-green-week by Monday 25th March 2024. Please direct enquiries about accessing facilities, equipment or booking community green spaces to info@frometowncouncil.org.uk.
