Katherine Cox, Director of Services for Trauma Foundation South West is facilitating a low-cost safeguarding training at Frome Town Hall on Monday 26 January from 10am to 12pm. The training is designed specifically for small, grassroots community organisations, who may come across people with complex needs but lack the policies and wider teams to fall back on, to know how to help. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked via Frome Town Council, who are offering the event as part of their package of support for community groups.
The training will cover:
- Keeping people safe whilst prioritising choice and freedom – how to navigate safeguarding and client risk whilst working in ways which centre service user choice and collaboration.
- Working within resource limitations, personal limitations and professional / organisational constraints in ways which also centre flexibility, responsiveness and freedom
