Frome celebrates Pride 2026

Human and canine paraders/event MC Cheryl Sprinkler

27 June saw the first standalone Frome Pride event, with a parade from Rook Lane led by Cheryl Sprinkler of Mojo Moves to a music stage, speeches and entertainment at the Saturday market.

Mayor of Frome Mark Dorrington said “For the first time, Frome’s Pride parade was a standalone event – and so we had no idea how many people would come along, especially so soon after the heatwave. I’m pleased to say that loads of people came along, joined the parade or cheered it on, danced, sang and enjoyed themselves – and the music stage and entertainment at the market afterwards was fantastic.

“As I said in my speech, I wanted to acknowledge that 27 June is also Armed Forces Day and take a moment to thank those who serve for their part in securing the freedom we enjoy today.

“A huge well done and thank you to Rachel, Ted and all the Frome Pride team for their hard work putting it together – here’s to 2027.”
