Frome Business Breakfast: How to Be Energy Smart

As the days become colder and heating bills rise, winter is an important time of year for organisations to find out more about becoming energy smart. On Tuesday 5th December, 7am, the Frome Business Breakfast will be at Frome Town Football Club to address this by looking at how businesses can cut energy costs and reduce carbon, whilst highlighting opportunities for renewables and community solar.

Anna Francis, chair of Frome Renewable Energy Co-op and Resilience Manager for Frome Town Council, will lead the breakfast with a presentation on the financial and environmental benefits of managing energy more efficiently. Anna said ‘The cost savings of many of these measures can be really significant. Studio Prints for example are saving around £1500 a year by replacing halogen spotlights with LED lighting.’ There will be energy monitors and LED kits available for businesses to borrow after the event.

Organised by Frome Town Council, Frome and District Chamber of Commerce, and Business Manager Mairi Connelly, the Frome Business Breakfast events are open to all businesses and community enterprises and are a great opportunity to meet with other local organisations.

The event costs £10 per person with the breakfast included in the price. Dietary options are available upon request, prior to the event.
