Frome Active Sport Festival 2017

Organised by Frome Children’s Festival and Frome Active, the Sports Fest is now an annual event creating adventure for all young people of Frome. Local, accessible and inclusive – it’s not just for young kids so please do get involved. All ages welcome.
Starting on Saturday the 29th April Frome Active and a number of community based sports groups throughout the town are coming together to offer free sessions at their clubs and at various locations to show the town what they are about:

April 29th
Canoe Club, 11 am – 3pm Bring a towel + old shoes – you will get wet! 8 Years +

April 30th
Sports Fest 10.00 – 2.00pm in Victoria Park
Mobile High Ropes, Yoga, Bowls, Mixed Martial Arts, Inflatable Assault Course, Street Surfing & Fencing, golf, BMX demo + workshops, Community Games, Tennis & Archery. Also watch Frome Canoe Club’s Slalom race from 12.

1st May
Mayhem in the meadow – Rodden Meadow 1st May – fun and games including tug of war, walking football, speedminton, rounders, community games, cardboard city, smoothie bike, bracelets and seeds at Rodden Meadow from 11am–2pm

2nd May
Liberty Gymnastics – Pre-school Gymnastics 9.30 – 10.15
Elevation Fitness – freestyle Taekwondo 3-6 year olds 4.15 – 4.55 & 5 – 5.40pm, 7+ 5.45 – 6.45

3rd May
Football Club & Body Basics – From 2pm – see FTC website for details
Liberty Gymnastics – School age gymnastics 3.15 – 4.15 pm

6th May
Showfield Fun Run – Walk, Jog or Run a mile on Saturday at 10 am.
And running a mile could be your first steps towards running a marathon!
Fusion Leisure Centre
Junior Synergy (a class based around a large gym apparatus) at 11.30am – 12pm Junior Bootcamp 12pm – 12.30pm.
Swimming from 11am -4pm free swim sessions for 8 – 15 year olds

7th May
Elevation Fitness – Freestyle Taekwondo 3-6 year olds 9.15 – 9.55; 7+ 10am -11am
Orchardleigh Golf club – Junior Academy 10.30 – 11.30pm
