YMCA Youth Club holds sessions on Monday and Wednesday 7.15pm-8.45pm for 10 yrs-19yrs during term time.
Supporting young people from aged 10-19 years living in Frome and surrounding areas, the Youth Club provides a fun and purposeful open-access youth club where everyone is welcome.
There is a range of fun activities each session including cooking, sports, crafts, team games, challenges and themed nights. All young people are included in the programme planning and the delivery of the Youth Club, as well as having the opportunity to join the Youth Club Steering Group and becoming young volunteers/peer leaders.
The Youth Club also provides information, advice and guidance and a safe space for young people to go.They cover a range of key topics both in groups and 1-1 including mental health, bereavement, bullying awareness and support, equality and diversity, health and wellbeing, independence and skills for independent living, participation, personal development and confidence building, relationships, safeguarding, sexual health and understanding yourself etc.
The YMCA bring in specialist organisations and services to the sessions for young people to further their support network, skills, knowledge and understanding of opportunities they have outside of the youth club sessions.
Prior to joining a parental consent form will need to be completed.
