SuperNova sports club meet every Thursday 4.30pm-5.30pm at the Frome Youth and Community Centre to take part in a range of fun activities! The club is for children with additional needs, as well as their siblings and friends aged 7-15.
Participants have been able to try out lots of sports including wheelchair basketball, dodgeball, football, boccia, tennis and more.
In addition to this, the club sometimes use external providers to offer sports that Nova is unable to offer themselves. These have included archery, fencing, adaptive martial arts, circus skills, gymnastics and canoeing!
Coaches from Nova Sports facilitate a safe, fun environment where participants feel comfortable to be themselves without fear of being told off for their ‘behaviour’.
There is no other club like it in the area with such an emphasis on being physically active and parents and participants alike are so grateful of the huge and varied opportunities being experienced.
