South Wessex Community Rail Partnership (SWCRP) aim is to encourage these communities in Somerset and Dorset served by the Heart of Wessex line to be involved with and to use the line:
- through support for and improvement to our local rail stations for the benefit of those living and working around them
- through carrying out activities to encourage use and involvement
- by representing the interests of these communities as rail users

The Heart of Wessex Line is one of the most scenic train routes in England. It runs all the way from buzzing Bristol to Weymouth on the Dorset coast. Rich in history and culture, including the stunning Roman Baths and the Westbury White Horse, the route was once home to literary heavyweights, including Jane Austen, Mary Shelley and Thomas Hardy.
