Activities are usually two hours long and vary from day to day, including cooking, crafts, sport, music – the list is endless. Their activities are held in various venues so that they are easy to reach across Frome.

Purple Elephant run charitable services for children and families in Frome and the local area. Their projects include Frome Toy Library – weekly stay and play sessions with parenting support plus a toy lending service (primarily for preschool children); a befriending service for children aged 5 – 12yrs; Family Holiday Fun; Small Steps – early intervention service with weekly group sessions plus 1:1 support giving early help to families with preschool children; and Frome Children’s Festival – a 1 day, free event for children of all ages offering loads of different activities, which doubles as a training project for teenagers.

Some of their services are open to all and others are for referred families only; all are either free or very low cost. Purple Elephant’s primary aim is to support social inclusion and integration, supporting those who are most vulnerable in our community.
