I Dress Myself take an ethical and sustainable approach to running their business. Their eco embroidery and printing techniques involves the use of plastic-free threads, water based ink and organic cotton garments. They only use vegan products and processes in their printing and continually develop their processes to improve sustainability proving that the eco-friendly way can be better than traditional, chemical-intensive methods.
They innovatively reuse wasted materials from the printing process, including arranging for left-over materials to be upcycled into blankets for premature babies and sanitary products for women in developing countries. The business also donates any extra ink to Frome College.
I Dress Myself is a Living Wage employer and has recruited 5 Kickstart scheme workers over the last year. Based at Vallis Mills Industrial Estate, they have a showroom for clients to see the products in person, as well as serving major national clients such as the Tate.
