A Festive Collaboration for Mayor’s Christmas Cards

Critchill School and Frome Museum are collaborating on an exciting project this year for Mayor Kate Bielby’s Christmas Cards. Working with a local artist, students from the school will be designing, and then printing the cards using an original Butler and Tanner printing press situated at Frome Museum.

Frome Christmas LightsCllr Kate Bielby, said: “This is a great opportunity for a group of students to see a project through from an original idea through to production. Frome Museum have very kindly agreed to lend the use of this historic printing press and I’m delighted to have a local artist working with young people on this project.”

Christmas cards will be on sale in the Town Council’s information centre point at the Library and at Frome Museum from the end of November.

Children from all Frome schools are invited by NVB architects to ‘Light Up Rook Lane’ by designing a projection for the front of the chapel. Children’s designs will be projected onto Rook Lane between 5-7pm on Friday 27 November, the night of the town’s Christmas Extravaganza. More information about this competition can be found here  http://www.rooklane.org.uk/events/light-up-rook-lane/
