Audiences in Frome are invited to experience an inspiring and adrenaline-fuelled story of courage, friendship and self-discovery when Woolf Women: Now or Never comes to the Merlin Theatre on Thursday 18 June.
Woolf Women: Now or Never is a bold, funny, and inspiring documentary that captures the freedom, chaos, and sheer adrenaline of downhill skateboarding. Following five young women on an epic journey across Europe to the ancient Sumela Monastery in Turkey, the film is part skate adventure, part road trip, and part celebration of friendship, courage, and pushing yourself beyond your limits.
The screening is hosted by Frome Skatepark project (FSP) and Frome Town Council and is raising funds towards the creation of a new skatepark in the Mary Baily Playing Field in 2027.
FSP’s Kim Martin said “Woolf Women celebrates bravery, determination and the power of shared experience – all elements that make Frome’s skating community what it is too! Come and watch the five young skaters’ amazing adventure while you help raise the funds we need to make Frome’s new skatepark and nurture the talent and potential of generations of young skaters, here in Frome.”
