Mayor of Frome shares digital Christmas card celebrating local school children

The Mayor of Frome has shared a special digital Christmas card this year, to spread festive cheer across the town while keeping things eco friendly and enlisting the talents of Frome’s young people.

Pupils from eight Frome schools took part in a heartwarming project, recording their own versions of the much-loved Christmas song ‘Jingle Bells’. The recordings were combined to create a digital Mayor’s Christmas card, celebrating their creativity and enthusiasm.

The schools who took part are:

  • Avanti Park School
  • Berkley Church of England First School
  • Christ Church Church of England First School
  • Hayesdown First School
  • St John’s Church of England First School
  • St Louis Catholic Primary School
  • Trinity Church of England First School
  • Vallis First School

Mayor of Frome, Anita Collier, said, “I am so grateful to all the children and school staff who took part in this wonderful project. Hearing ‘Jingle Bells‘ sung by pupils from across Frome really captures the warmth, kindness and sense of community that makes our town so special. It has been a joy to share this digital Christmas card and a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved.”

Frome Town Council would like to thank all participating schools, teachers, families and pupils for helping to bring festive cheer to the wider community and wishes everyone a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
