An outdoor music event in Victoria Park on Saturday 30th August from 1pm to 6pm aims to help local fundraisers hit their 2025 target of raising £5,000 for local charity Fair Frome. Acts for the ‘Tribe Mini Fest’ by the Fair Frome Tribe include Jiggidy, Carl Hills, My Unicorn Dream, Pete Gubbins, Sammi Evans and Paul Kirtley.
Fair Frome Tribe founder Paul Kirtley said: “I started to sing and play for Fair Frome in 2021 after two years supporting other charities. I wanted to focus on a local charity and Fair Frome fitted the bill perfectly: small staff with support from local volunteers, reaching out to hundreds of people in need by putting food on tables. Since 2021 I’ve done hundreds of sessions on the street, in the market, in pubs, clubs, Victoria Park and the Old Theatre Royal. Sometimes solo, other times accompanied by local musicians a total of £21749 has been collected since 2021. This includes £2199.50 for our 2025 campaign which I started late in March due to ill health. This year’s target is £5,000 minimum but we hope to do better.
“I host a weekly live music session every Friday night at the Crown Inn Keyford. We also have a session in the Chester House Social Club on 23rd September and the Fair Frome Mini Fest in Victoria Park on Saturday 30th Aug. Online donations would be greatly appreciated using the Localgiving link.”
Entry to the Tribe MiniFest is free, with donations collected for Fair Frome all day. Make a donation to the Fair Frome Tribe’s Localgiving page at https://localgiving.org/fundraising/Fair-Frome-Tribe-2025-Live-Music .
