Frome is taking part in Great Big Green Week 2025 from Friday 6th to Sunday 15th June. It’s the fifth year that Frome has participated in this UK-wide celebration of all things sustainable, eco-friendly and nature based, and there are 30 events to choose from, many of them in Frome’s network of open and green spaces. From bike rides, guided walks and picnics, clothes swaps, tastings, workshops, talks and a river festival, there’s something for everyone.
Cllr Fiona Barrows said “There’s a brilliant calendar of events lined up for Great Big Green Week 2025. Whether you’re a seasoned upcycler or sustainability expert, or you’re just curious to find out more about it while getting out and about with friends and family, we’re sure there’s an event to suit you. Join us on Thursday 12th June in Victoria Park for the annual Big Green Meetup, a chance to chat to other people involved in green and sustainable initiatives in Frome: bring a picnic and enjoy a free vegan ice cream from the park café (please pre-book so we know how many to order!). Feel free to bring leaflets along to spread the word about your activity”
