Frome has two community fridges, currently located at Frome Town Hall and in the Loop de Loop building.
A dedicated team of volunteers collects the food from local shops and food outlets, and records the food in the Fridge’s log-book. The food is then available for anyone to take and make use of.
Who is the fridge for?
Everyone. The Fridge is open to all. By using it, you help prevent waste, support a culture of sharing and make good food available to the community.
Is it like a food bank? Do I need a voucher?
No. You do not need a referral or voucher. Anyone can visit during opening hours and take whatever is available. The Fridge tackles food waste first and foremost, though it can also help people stretch their food budgets.
