Local Authority Funding

The Local Authority Delivery Scheme offers up to £10,000 per household toward energy efficiency improvements in lower income homes.

Funding covers more measures than the Green Homes Grant, which closed in March, and is available to households where the annual income is under £30,000 and where the property has an Energy Performance Certificate of D or below.

Measures available on the Local Authority Delivery Scheme are as follows:

  • Insulation: Solid wall, cavity wall, under-floor, loft, flat roof, room in roof
  • Low carbon heat: Air source heat pump, solar thermal
  • Draught proofing, windows and doors: Double or triple glazing (where replacing single glazing), secondary glazing (in addition to single glazing), upgrading to energy efficient doors (where replacing doors installed prior to 2002)
  • Heating controls and insulation: appliance thermostats, hot water tank thermostats, hot water tank insulation, smart heating controls, zone controls, delayed start thermostat, thermostatic radiator valves

If you meet the criteria and are interested in the measures listed, then contact CSE on 0800 082 2234. CSE will undertake an initial telephone assessment to ensure that you qualify and that the scheme works for you, and following this we can carry out a retrofit assessment of your home and make recommendations regarding what measures are most appropriate.

You can also find out more about the scheme by contacting Resilience Manager Nikki Brain or visiting the Mendip District Council website.
